Description:
The Flammability test procedure evaluates the flammability of
medical textiles including face masks, surgical gowns, and drapes.
The test method is designed to comply with 16 CFR Part 1610. This
test is required by the ASTM F2100 (Standard Specification for
Performance of Materials Used in Medical Face Masks) to ensure that
all face masks meet the requirements for Class 1 flammability.
Testing is also required for 510(k) submissions to the FDA. In
addition to the Flammability test, Nelson Labs can perform all ASTM
F2100 testing.
Scope of application
It is mainly used to test the burning performance of medical masks
after contacting the flame at a certain linear speed.Able to
special test equipment. It is suitable for measuring the flame
retardant performance of medical masks and all protective masks.

safety inspection departments and scientific research units. It is
a test item to test the flame retardant performance of protective
masks; through propane as a combustion power source, the system is
